Families

Family Open Studios invites participants of all ages to engage in an atmosphere of creativity, discovery, and artistic exploration. Through open-ended play and hands-on experimentation, visitors are encouraged to improvise freely, while those seeking more structured guidance will find a range of thoughtfully prepared projects to explore, including watercolour painting, paper pulp sculpture, zine-making, comics, and card design.

Our dedicated team of artist educators will be present to support and inspire, offering expertise and encouragement as participants make use of our extensive collection of art materials.

This fall, the program draws inspiration from the work of artist Russna Kaur, whose vivid and layered approach to colour evokes the process of a chef selecting vibrant ingredients to compose a richly sensorial feast. In this spirit, we invite families to join us in creating a celebration of colour, texture, and imagination.
