Get ready to throw BIG! Join ceramic artist Kiefer Floreal for an exciting two-day workshop where participants will be encouraged through demonstrations and hands-on practice to push the limits of scale on the wheel and create bold, expressive surfaces. Participants will explore the challenges and techniques of throwing large forms on the first day, then bring their pieces to life on day two through layering, experimenting with, and combining different techniques using slips. 

This workshop experience is suitable for artists with prior wheel throwing experience who are interested in taking their forms to the next level with individualized guidance. All participants will be provided with one box of clay to support two full days of experimentation and risk-taking. With an emphasis on process over product, glazing and firing is not included in this workshop but firing for any finished works can be arranged with the AGB if desired.
