Learn the basics of hand spinning wool yarn using a drop-spindle and spinning wheel. Over six weeks, participants will practice treadling on a spinning wheel, learn worsted hand spinning techniques, and create a 150g sample of handspun two-ply yarn combining two colours into a variegated barberpole finish under the guidance of the instructor. 

Students will have the option to borrow drop spindles and spinning wheels for use at home by paying a fully refundable deposit on the first day of class, and are encouraged to progress with their spinning independently between classes.
