This intermediate-level course introduces students to the process of creating an altered ceramic casserole form while maintaining full functionality. Through step-by-step instruction from two instructors, students will learn how to construct, intentionally modify, and refine a single casserole using both throwing and hand-building techniques. The central focus of this course is on how form can be reshaped and redefined through alteration. This course invites play and risk-taking, helping students gain confidence in altering form while preserving functionality.
