Join Wahmahtig (Hilton) King for a hands-on workshop on traditional drum making. Participants will learn about the spiritual significance of the drum as a tool for connection, healing, and self-awareness, while gaining skills in soaking hides, lacing, and knot tying. Participants will be guided through the making process and get to bring their own drum home. This workshop offers a meaningful introduction to drum teachings and care.
This class is for individuals who self-identify as Indigenous. This program is designed to create a safe atmosphere among Indigenous peoples in which drum teachings and reflection will be shared in this class.
