Celebrate Culture Days with an afternoon of creativity, conversation, and discovery at the Art Gallery of Burlington with the Community Generator Artists-in-Residence Open Studio event.
As the culminating public event of their 2025–2026 residency term, a cohort of Community Generator Artists-in-Residence will open their shared studio spaces and invite visitors behind the scenes to explore their artistic practices, works-in-progress, research, and community-engaged projects. Throughout the afternoon, artists will animate the AGB studios with demonstrations, informal presentations, hands-on activities, and interactive displays.
Visitors of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to drop in, meet the artists, ask questions, learn about a diverse range creative processes from clay to weaving, and painting to zine production, and participate in a range of accessible arts experiences. Whether you are an artist, maker, curious beginner, or lifelong learner, the day of Open Studios offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with the artists who have spent the past year developing projects at the AGB.
Participating artists include Mary-Ann Alberga, Habiba El-Sayed, Carly Franklin, Katherine A. Laird, Cathy Lorraway, Devina Lookman, Caerwyn Pinney, Ciara Rieder, Breanna Shanahan, Jamie Vardy, and Vanessa Crosbie Ramsay.
