Norwin Anne is a Filipinx multidisciplinary artist/designer whose practice brings together fashion, environmental research, and material experimentation. They studied Fashion Techniques & Design at George Brown College, where an interest in textile waste developed into a broader investigation of consumption and its environmental impacts.

Working primarily with second-hand textiles, discarded materials, and found objects, Anne creates wearable art and installations that translate complex environmental and cultural issues through playful and experimental forms. Their practice is grounded in a slow-fashion mentality and an intuitive approach to making, finding new possibilities in materials that might otherwise be considered useless or disposable.

Presented by the Art Gallery of Burlington (AGB) in partnership with Industrial Arts’ Steelcase Art Projects (SAP)and the City of Markham Public Art Program, the Artist Material Fund (AMF) gives materials left behind after exhibitions, installations, and creative projects a second life. Through free public access to materials, workshops, and community events, AMF puts these resources back into circulation, supporting artistic experimentation while reducing what is sent to landfill.
