Artist, designer, (re)maker, and eco-culture communicator Norwin Anne leads a hands-on weaving workshop exploring the creative potential of discarded and surplus textiles. Drawing from their slow-fashion practice and community initiative From Here to Wear, participants will experiment with transforming unconventional materials into woven forms while considering textile waste, circular design, and our relationships to consumption.
Bring clothing or textiles you would like to upcycle and come ready to experiment, make, and rethink the possibilities of the materials already around us.
The Artist Material Fund depot will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, inviting artists, makers, and visitors to browse and collect free materials for future creative projects. Visitors are welcome to drop in throughout the day, with the weaving workshop taking place from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
