PA Day Camps (Monday January 26, Friday February 13, Friday April 24, Friday June 5, Fall 2026 dates TBA): Bursary application cut-off dates are on a rolling basis, three weeks before the start of camp, with parents being notified two weeks before the start of camp.
March Break Camps (March 16-20, 2026): Bursary application cut-off date is February 27, 2026. Parents will be notified by March 2 if they’ve been selected.
Summer Camp (July 6 – August 28, 2026): Bursary application cut-off date is May 4, 2026. Parents will be notified by May 15 if they have been selected.
The bursary application form is now open, for families seeking financial assistance for camp program registration. This includes March Break Camps, Summer Camps, and PA Day Camps.
When applying, do not register for camps — your child(ren) will be registered for camp if selected as a bursary recipient. Families who want to send multiple children to camp must include information for all campers in their household on the form. Successful applicants will be notified by email to confirm acceptance of the bursary to finalize registration for camp.
Thanks to the generous support of the Joyce Family Foundation, the AGB is offering bursaries for children and youth to attend our 2026 week-long and day camps. In 2025, with support from the Burlington Community Foundation, the AGB successfully piloted a small-scale version of the bursary. The expanded program, enabled by the Joyce Family Foundation’s support, will sustain and grow over the next five years, supporting AGB camps and our School Visits program.
Camps Bursary Program FAQ
All complete applications received by the cut-off date for each program will be sorted by the camp date(s) and age groups requested on the application form. If the number of applications exceeds the number of bursaries available for the selected camp program, all applications will be entered into a lottery to randomly select recipients from the eligible pool of applicants.
Successful applicants will be required to confirm acceptance of the bursary for their camp date(s) within 72 hours of notification; if the AGB does not receive confirmation in this time, the bursary may be offered to another applicant.
No; to reduce access barriers to the bursary program, parents will not be required to provide financial information. Bursaries are intended to serve families who are unable to afford AGB camp registration fees. Registering your child for an AGB camp program while also applying for or receiving a bursary will result in the disqualification of your application and/or the cancellation of any bursary awarded.
If awarded a bursary, having your camper’s registration details in advance will allow us to expedite your child’s registration, and ensure we have all the information required to support your child’s safe participation in camp. The AGB will not retain confidential information for unsuccessful bursary applicants.
In the unlikely event that a camp program is cancelled after a bursary is awarded, the AGB will attempt to transfer the bursary to a comparable camp program offered on a different date if capacity allows. If an alternate camp program cannot be offered or if the camper is unable to attend, the bursary will be cancelled.
Yes, campers with bursaries have the option to be enrolled into our aftercare program to support parents and caregivers who require a later pick-up time. Aftercare is available for Summer Camp programs until 5:30 pm.
To ensure that the opportunity presented by these bursaries can be shared among the largest possible number of campers, families may only receive a maximum of two camp bursaries per child in 2026.
Parents may apply for multiple camps but will not be considered for future camp dates if bursaries have already been accepted for two camp programs. For example, a parent receiving a bursary for a Spring 2026 PA Day Camp and a week of Summer Camp will not be eligible to receive additional bursaries for other weeks of Summer Camp or PA Day Camps in Fall 2026.
Yes; we are committed to ensuring that children from the same household can attend camp together through this program. Parents should include all prospective campers on one application form for their household; if successful, a bursary will be offered for each child in your household.
Parents are asked to confirm their ability to attend camp on the dates requested when accepting any bursaries awarded before we proceed with registration to ensure your availability hasn’t changed since the time of your application. Please ensure that you can support your child’s participation in camp prior to confirming acceptance of your bursary.
Please notify the AGB immediately by phone or email if you will need to withdraw your child from camp. Any withdrawal from camp will cancel your bursary, which will be transferred to another camper.
Failure to attend your bursary-funded camp without notification will result in ineligibility for future bursary funding.

The AGB is uniquely positioned to offer immersive art experiences beyond the typical school classroom, and this Bursary Program ensures that more children and youth can benefit from the creative, social, and emotional opportunities that arts education provides. The Joyce Family Foundation has committed to providing $50,000 annually for five years, with $35,000 directed toward program delivery and $15,000 invested in the AGB Arts Fund for Kids, held at the Burlington Community Foundation. We are seeking to match the $15,000 annual investment through community fundraising to support the newly established fund. Donations can be made to the AGB Arts Fund for Kids on our Support page linked below.
