This course invites children ages 7-12 to explore the concept of “living and non-living” through nature observation, conversation, material exploration, and creative expression. The project begins with children’s own ideas and questions, allowing themes to evolve through discussion and hands-on investigation.
Using trees as a central focus, children will explore nature through drawing, painting, sculpture, light, and non-structured materials. Activities emphasize observation, memory, transformation, and relationships between materials, light, and form. The course values process, experimentation, and children’s interpretations over final outcomes.
