Making pieces in clay is a challenging, but satisfying way to indulge my artistic need. With the encouragement of studio technicians, I began working with porcelain and firing in the gas kiln about five years ago.  I have been very pleased with the effects the reduction atmosphere has on the glaze surfaces at higher temperatures.  I am happy to use some of the pieces I make in my own home, but it brings me great pleasure when someone chooses my work to have in their home.
