About the AGB Shop:
The AGB Shop is a beautiful 2400 square foot retail space housed within the iconic Art Gallery of Burlington (AGB), located directly on the Burlington waterfront, across from Spencer Smith Park. The AGB Shop is the only shop in Burlington that exclusively supports Canadian artists and artisans, maintaining an inventory of exceptional quality and unique products in a range of prices.
Terms and Conditions
Purchase of Gift Certificate
Please note that we currently do not offer electronic gift certificates; we provide a physical certificate only that must be shipped to a recipient or picked up onsite.
Credit Card Charges
We accept the following credit cards:
- American Express
Your credit card will be charged when you place an order online. In the case that any item is out of stock, you will be contacted by one of our AGB shop representatives for a reorder or refund of the item.
Confirmation of Order
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your order and a secondary email when your item is ready for pick-up. You will need to bring a copy of your receipt for in store or curbside pick-up.
Order cancellation will be accepted via email within 24 hours of initial placement of order.
The AGB Shop can ship to most destinations within Canada, the U.S. and some international locations, unless otherwise indicated by the item selected. If you are interested in having your item shipped, please email email@example.com with your name, item details or order details, the address you would like the item shipped to and the best phone number to reach you on. We will be in touch with you within 72 hours of receiving your email with a shipping quote for your approval.
Shipping will be charged separately of your purchase, once the shipping quote has been approved. The shipping cost can be processed in the shop or over the phone by credit card.
Please note that shipping is available to only one address per order. If the AGB cannot fulfil your shipping request or meet agreeable terms for shipping, you have the option to cancel your order, or be refunded for your purchase.
Sales Taxes, Customs and Duty
Sales taxes are applied during checkout based on the destination of your order. Sales taxes are charged on Canadian shipping addresses by province; all customs and duties charges are the responsibility of the receiver according to the applicable laws of your country. Customs and duty charges will be billed separately by the shipping carrier.
We are happy to offer credit or exchange on non-sale items within 30 days of purchase with presentation of a sales receipt or gift receipt. However, please note that the Gallery Shop does not offer refunds.
We will only accept returns if we have been notified in advance by email of your intention to return the merchandise. Select items such as masks, earrings, sale items, and special order items are not returnable.
The merchandise must be in original condition, accompanied by the sales receipt and shipped back to the AGB shop in the original packaging. All refunds will be tendered as per the original purchase. Refunds will be issued once the merchandise has been received, provided it is in original condition.
Damages upon arrival
If any item arrives damaged, please email a photo of the item to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to send you a replacement for the broken item. If the item can not be replaced, a full refund on the credit card used will be issued.

How to Apply
AGB Gallery Shop is proud to represent Canadian artists and crafts people. If you are a Canadian Craftsperson interested in selling your work through our shop please review our criteria. All work must be handmade in Canada by the artist or produced by the artist’s studio. We look for strong individual style and original design well executed in the medium of choice. Work is selected based on its integrity, availability, and customer appeal and price and design trends
- Work must be a craft based medium, and reflect the quality that is represented by the AGB Shop.
- Work must be the original idea of the maker and made in Canada
- Ready-made parts or components are permitted only if they are subordinate to the total design and craftsmanship of the object
- The object must be capable of serving the purpose for which it was designed
PLEASE NOTE: AGB Shop does not accept the following:
- hobby crafts
- flower arrangements or potpourri
- cosmetics, soaps, creams or any personal hygiene products
- decorated stones, sea shells or other found objects
- liquid embroidery
- work made from kits, commercial patterns (as from pattern books or magazines)
- work made with a commercial product as the focal point
- work made with commercial molds
- Work that has been appropriated from another culture or is derogatory in any way.
If you are interested in in having your work in the AGB Shop, please carefully read the criteria required and provide the following in your application:
- Phone and email
- Artist/ Product Statement
- Resume including: experience, awards and list of other shops where you are currently selling your work.
Send five or more images of work currently available to sell along with a product list detailing the materials used and suggested retail price for each of the items. Please indicate if these items are currently in your inventory or made to order, and please provide insight into production time.
Submissions are reviewed as they come in and we will follow up within 30 days of receiving your application. If chosen, your work will remain in the gallery inventory for a minimum of 6 months.
The AGB Shop works with both consignment and wholesale suppliers. Consignment terms are usually 50% to the artist, and all wholesale purchases are based on net 30 terms.
