Did you know that oil and water don’t mix? Even if they don’t, they can be used to make unique, abstract works of art. Taking inspiration from Winter exhibiting artist Monira Al Qadiri’s video, Diver, we will make colourful, swirling droplet paintings with simple materials.

Join us for our weekly Family Open Studio, every Saturday at 1 pm on IGTV.

Visit us virtually on Instagram, where you can engage in a new family-friendly art project each week from the comfort of your home.

 Material list:

  • shallow baking dish
  • cooking oil
  • liquid watercolor(or water dyed with food coloring)
  • thick paper or watercolour paper
  • a wire rack for drying
