No prior experience required! The focus of this class will be learning to control clay, so it is perfectly centred for successful pots. In this introductory course, students will learn how to prepare clay for throwing, as well as proper posture at the potter’s wheel. Demonstrations held each class will cover the different steps of centering clay on a wheel, throwing cylinders, bowls and plates, and finishing pots with various slips, stains, and glazes.

In addition to the course fee, students pay $30 on the first day of class for one bag of clay, firing and glazing.

Please note: If courses are purchased at member price, and membership is not active, you will be charged for the membership.
