This course is an opportunity for students to enhance their approach to photography through the consideration of thematic and conceptual frameworks. Students will work on developing a project starting from an idea and leading to a portfolio, publication or exhibition. The course consists of concept-based photographic assignments, supported by lectures, discussions, slide presentations and critiques.

About the Instructor: Ö zant Kamaci explores the purpose of photography as a medium and its connection to society. His early works investigate the role of photography as an interruption of anticipation.
Ö zant left a corporate career of thirteen years to follow his passion for photography. He has an MA in Communication Design (specializing in Photography) from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London, UK and has exhibited his work around the world. Ö zant currently teaches photography and design courses at OCAD University.
